SimpleStay retains personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for legitimate business and legal purposes. Typical factors include:
- account status;
- active and historical bookings;
- payment, refund, payout, and chargeback requirements;
- tax, accounting, and audit obligations;
- fraud, abuse, security, and sanctions prevention;
- litigation, claims, and legal holds;
- user support;
- regulatory requirements; and
- backup and disaster-recovery cycles.
Account data may be retained while an account remains active. Transactional and financial records may be retained for legally required periods. Security logs may be retained for risk management and incident investigation. Backups may persist temporarily after deletion until overwritten through normal cycles. Deletion requests are subject to legal exceptions and technical limitations.
